More Nikon D800 specifications rumors has leaked. Gathered from various sources , Nikon D800 specs:

4fps in full-frame mode , 6fps in DX crop mode ( with battery pack )
100% viewfinder coverage ( D700 only has 95% )

support faster USB 3.0 ?
ISO 100 – 6400 , expandable to 25600. ISO 50 is the lowest

Face Recognition
Regarding release date , digicame-info.com reveals that the camera will be announced on October 26th and ready for shipping on November 24th for 300.000 Yen ( around 3900 US$ ).

via NikonRumors, Nikon representive said that Nikon will announced two new FX bodies by the end of August 2011. One camera aim for expert photographer while the other is for professionals. Nikon D800 and D4 ? or perhaps Nikon D400 ? If the news is correct about FX bodies then D800 and D4 could be on its way.

German photographer, Claudius Schulze, posted in his blog that he just pre-ordered the Nikon D800 from Nikon representative. He also got a hint on Nikon D800 release date : late summer after first pro-DSLR released ,probably around August – September. Yes.. he stated the Nikon D800 is the second pro-DSLR to be announced this year. The first ? could it be the Nikon D4 ?
No details about its specs or retail price yet .. but a DPR member gives some hints
